Why don't you give fixed bids?

Many industries have developed formulae based on measurable specifications. For example, if you wanted to replace the windows in your house, a representative would come to measure the current frames. Installing one window is very much like installing another. In professional services (such as architecture, legal, accounting, etc.) you are purchasing the time, expertise, and expenses of the individual and their ability to solve unique problems -- instead of materials and labor. One project is never the same as another.

Most importantly, fixed bids usually do not allow for changes. My formal change control procedure allows you to the flexibility of making changes at any time. Before I implement a change, I give a written account of how the changes will impact your project in terms of time, money and risk. With this procedure, you have more control over the direction of your project and a greater chance of satisfaction.
