Apple Picking 2002!

It's time again! The trees at the orchard are full and heavy and ready to harvest!

My friend, Patrick of Breezy Hill Organic Orchard, is needing our help again for Fall Harvest. He shares the the "seconds" -- those apples that he can't sell -- in exchange for our labor. From my experience, there are more apples than everyone can take home. He also has other organic produce that he's willing to share: grapes, vegetables and more.

Even if you are not able to come this year, please RSVP.
Days: Saturday, October 5th & 
Saturday, October 12th  RAIN OR SHINE
Time 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

If you cannot come right away in the morning, please come at lunchtime 12:00 noon-1:00. (The orchard is big, and Patrick will be leading us where we need to go from his house.)
Location: Breezy Hill Organic Orchard in Maple Lake, MN
Directions:
  1. Take Hwy 55 through Buffalo and through Maple Lake
  2. See and pass 4-way stop
  3. Go 1/2 mile out of ML
  4. Take Cty Rd 37 (on LHS, 3rd paved road from 4-way)
  5. Go 3 miles to Iresfeld (on LHS)
  6. 1st farmhouse on top of hill on left (small gravel road)
  7. If you come to a 4-way stop, you've gone too far)
Bring:
  • Comfortable clothing that can get dirty
  • Gloves 
  • Hat -- or hooded sweatshirt
  • Rain gear
  • Small pot luck salad to share 
    (Patrick will be handling the main course for us)
  • Bags to bring produce home with you
  • Family & friends who would also like to pick
