USAGE How you get them and how they're used	Web Download Buy once (if CD collection); use endlessly	Buy once, use endlessly	"Rent" for a duration, medium or visibility. Can be custom designed.	You own the copyright to the graphic and can do whatever you want with it. (e.g. use it, sell it, license it, etc.)
COST	Web > Free CD > $25-$200	Web Download $30-50/image CD> $100-$500	Cost negotiated e.g. "$500 for 6 months on home page." Usually designers charge less when they keep the copyright.	Per per hour to create. Usually designers charge more to relinquish copyright
QUALITY	Low	High	High > Trendy	Wide range depending upon designer
