Illustration works much like any other design process.

Identify Goals
Following initial consultation between you and the designer to clarify the goals of the illustration, the designer creates sketches of illustration concepts. Together, you and the designer review the sketches and refine the ideas.

Obtaining Other Elements
If photographic images or special typefaces are required, the designer takes the photos, buys or licenses them.

Creation
Finally, the designer creates the illustration. You and the designer then discuss the result and possible revisions. The revision process continues until you are satisfied.

Making Web-ready
When the illustration is complete, the designer prepares it for implementation on the web.
