Here is a list of additions you can make to your web site to enhance the content -- depending upon the nature of your business and web site. The following do not require the information entered to be stored, nor do they use database or advanced programming technologies. Some do, however, require server processing (thinking) beyond a mere request (hyperlink to HTML page).

Domain Icon

Places an image before your domain name in the Address field in a browser. Brand strengthening, usability improvement

Email Form

Sends content from a series of fields to your email. Collecting data from your site visitor. (Name, address, etc.)

Signing up attendees for events, workshops, seminars, and other activities. This can be combined with a payment system 

eNewsletter Manager

A form and service that allows visitors to sign up for or cancel eNewsletter subscriptions Eliminating the need to manually maintain your list of subscribers.

Sometimes ISPs (?) will limit the number of emails you can send at one time. Rather than sending the emails in batches, you can utilize this solution to send them all at once.  

Password Protection,  Low-Security

A form requiring Login and Password information before proceeding to certain data. 

NOT for use with private, restricted or confidential data such as credit card information or social security numbers.

Creating a quick, easy, streamlined way to serve different user groups. e.g. customers, vendors, visitors, members, partners, etc.

Quiz

Short list of multiple choice or true/false questions based on a key that creates a score on the fly that does not need to be stored or recalled. Test a user's basic understanding of a topic, way of presenting trivia, generating user engagement in a new topic. Excellent for personality tests, psychometrics, typology.

Rollovers, Mouseovers, Hoverbuttons

Hovering your mouse cursor over an image causes it to change or something else to appear on the screen Enhancing the usability of the site by providing a response for the visitor's action.

Scheduled Content

Content that appears and disappears from your web site on dates/times you specify Decreasing need for updates, don't need to worry about deadlines

Search

Allows user to insert keywords to locate specific files in your site Sites with more than 25 pages

Slideshow

You can browse through graphics manually or automatically View visual work samples to get a quick idea of how certain things look or are designed.
